Under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) formulated by the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Government of India, the Common Services Centers (CSCs) are conceptualized as ICT-enabled, front-end service delivery points for delivery of Government, Social and Private Sector services in the areas of agriculture, health, education, entertainment, FMCG products, banking and financial services, utility payments, etc.

CSCs are run by local Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) who set up physical kiosk centers. Through the Digital Seva Portal, VLEs connect local citizens to online government systems, private utility portals, and digital banking facilities, processing transactions on behalf of citizens in rural and semi-urban locations.

Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) are the front-line operators and entrepreneurs of the CSC network. VLEs are responsible for running the physical service kiosks, assisting citizens with online applications, processing financial transfers, and introducing modern digital services to rural populations.

You can register as a VLE online by clicking "Apply Now" or "New Registration" to visit our secure signup page. There, you will fill out your personal profile, specify your preferred partner bank kiosk, upload required identity scans, and complete the video-verification check.

A CSC Centre is a physical retail or workspace premises equipped with a computer, internet connection, printer, scanner, webcam, and biometric scanner. It must be minimum 100 sq.ft in size and serve as the physical retail outlet where citizens visit to access digital banking and government facilities.

To enroll on the registration portal, you must be a citizen of India, at least 18 years of age, have completed a minimum of 10+2 / Intermediate education, hold a clean background record with a local Police Clearance Certificate (PCC), and own or lease a commercial shop location.

Telecentre Entrepreneur Course (TEC) is a comprehensive certification program designed by CSC Academy. The course covers the fundamentals of running digital centers, service delivery standards, and small business entrepreneurship. VLE candidates receive a unique TEC certificate ID upon passing.

To obtain a TEC certification number, register on the official CSC Academy TEC portal, pay the course fee, study the e-learning modules, and complete the short online assessments. After successfully passing the final online proctored exam, your TEC certificate ID is instantly generated.

The mandatory documents required during registration include: 1. Scanned passport-size color photograph, 2. Scanned signature sample, 3. PAN Card copy, 4. Aadhaar Card copy (front & back), and 5. Police Clearance / Character Verification Certificate (issued within the last 6 months).

You must own a computer running Windows 10/11 (64-bit), minimum 4GB RAM, a working USB biometric scanner (Morpho or Mantra) for e-KYC authentications, a webcam (for live WebRTC identity validation), a printer/scanner combo, and a stable broadband or mobile network hotspot.

Yes, the basic concepts are covered in the Telecentre Entrepreneur Course (TEC). Additionally, upon VLE registration and portal approval, district managers organize standard operational webinars and workshops explaining how to navigate the portal, manage transactions, and run banking kiosk apps.

CSC VLE profile registration is completely free of charge. There are no registration fees. However, standard administrative charges apply for independent examinations like the TEC certification, and a Processing/onboarding fee (₹2,500) is collected for kiosk partner integration.

VLEs are expected to operate their local center regularly, deliver government and commercial services ethically without overcharging, maintain proper customer transaction registers, safeguard user privacy, and report any server or technical issues to their District Manager.

A Virtual ID (VID) is a temporary, revocable 16-digit random number mapped to your Aadhaar card. It is created by UIDAI to protect privacy and enables you to perform biometric e-KYC authentications without sharing your actual 12-digit Aadhaar number directly.

You can generate your 16-digit VID online in 2 minutes. Go to the Aadhaar self-service portal, log in using your Aadhaar number and OTP, select the "Generate VID" button, and the system will generate and send the VID to your registered mobile number via SMS.

A Customer ID is a unique ID (formatted like CSP-YY-InitialsBirthYear-3Alphanumeric) generated automatically for you when you submit your account profile details. It acts as your primary identifier for verification tracking, payment receipts, and review checks by IT administrators.

To check your current status, navigate to the client login page, enter your registered email and password to open the tracking dashboard, and view your position in the multi-stage progress pipeline (Document Upload, Video Verification, Payment, Admin Audit, Approved).

Yes. If your application is rejected, the administrators will log a specific reason (e.g. blurry document, incorrect bank code, low-quality verification video). You will receive an email notice, and can log back into your portal to fix and resubmit the rejected details.

Once approved and your official CSC ID/Kiosk code is issued, download your digital certificate. Then, download the Digital Seva app, sync your biometric devices, complete your portal e-KYC profile, activate your wallet, and start delivering banking and utility services.

The Registration Portal features secure signup flows, automated validation scripts checking Aadhaar and PAN formats, custom photo and signature file uploads, modern responsive styles, and interactive WebRTC webcams capturing live customer identification statements.

The "My Account" or Client Portal allows applicants to track their verification stages, complete pending video verifications, pay processing invoices, print dynamic certificate PDFs, update registered communication details, and check notifications.

If you forget your Customer ID, check the automated registration confirmation email sent to your registered email inbox. If you cannot find it, go to the login page and use the retrieval link, or contact the helpdesk with your registered mobile number.

On the client portal login page, click the "Forgot Password?" link. Enter your registered email address, and a secure password reset link will be mailed to you. Click the link to define a new password and reactivate your portal access.

An "Inactive" status means your account is currently suspended, disabled due to extended VLE transaction inactivity, or undergoes a mandatory security verification audit. Please contact your local District Manager to submit a reactivation request.

Your PAN details are verified instantly against the Income Tax Department database. If the spelling of your name, date of birth, or gender in your CSC application does not match your PAN records exactly, the validation checks will fail and block updates.
